It's awesome to know that at age 26 we can still find new friends who we feel like we have known forever.
"All I can say is that there's a sweetness here, a Southern sweetness, that makes sweet music. . . . If I had to tell somebody who had never been to the South, who had never heard of soul music, what it was, I'd just have to tell him that it's music from the heart, from the pulse, from the innermost feeling. That's my soul ... and that's the South." -- Al Green. This is me trying to convey that Southern sweetness to my wicked awesome family and friends.

Turns out not where, but who you're with that really matters.

Blogger hasn't got hardly enough space for me to write how very much I love Paula.
But, it's homegirl's birthday, and she needs a little tribute.

The Limits of Practicality
So, I don't exactly have a bed. Or a couch, or a TV to put on top of this girl...but she was such a good deal, and she is soo pretty.
And it's getting cold, so I'm nesting.
Ok?

Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground
Someday I will have to remember to bring my phone with me to take pictures of how beautiful the trails are.
For now, you can just imagine that it's beautiful to be riding through crispy leaves in this perfect, cool, Carolina autumn weather.

Happy Birthday, Missy
To my dear, wise, genuine friend, Missy, happy birthday! You inspire me, you get me, I love you (and your baby) so very much.
If 10 is the new 1, 30 is so the new 20.

The only picture I got of the Tower. Favorite. August 2009.
Sister visits me in my new apartment. Dizzy. October 2009.
Lovely night with an important new friend and a good man...trying to start fresh. Naive. Halloween 2009.
Gaga and the New Year with great friends. Trying. December 28th, 2009.
New roommate, new year, sacred friendship. Learning. Spring 2010.
End of law school, time to explore. Nervous, exhausted, determined. July 2010.
